How to uninstall Avira Free Antivirus? Windows Errorcode20:

  There have been many solutions for uninstalling a program. Here, this is the case of antivirus program. Uninstalling Avira antivirus program may be not possible due to windows errorcode20: requires at least: -Windows XP 32bit SP3 -Windows XP 64bit SP2 -Windows Server 2003 SP2. This usually occurs in windows XP 32 bit service pack 2(sp2).

Solution:

Here is the solution for uninstalling the program.

1)      First of all download and install ccleaner software.

2)      Clean both memory and registry using the software.

3)      Now download an old version of avira(click here to downloadthe version for XP sp2) or any other version suitable for XP sp2.

4)      Now restart the system.

5)      On restart, enter into safe mode. This is done by pressing F8 function key at the start.

6)      Now enter in safe mode.

7)      Again go to ccleaner software, repeat the step2 and fix registry problems (if any).

8)      Now go to the old version of Avira downloaded before and install the same.

9)      After the installation go to the ccleaner.

10)   Click on tools >> uninstall

11)   Now find avira antivirus program and click on the “run uninstaller” in ccleaner.

12)   Now the un-installation will begin.

13)   You have successfully uninstalled the program.
